Privacy policy.
Last updated: 2 July 2026 · Applies to the MasaPe app and website, operated by Masa Technologies, Bengaluru, India.
MasaPe exists to organise your own trade data for you. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly what we store, what our AI reads, what we never do, and how you stay in control.
Our privacy promise
Your rates, your suppliers and your trade history are yours. In plain words, and in writing:
- ✓Private to you. No other MasaPe user, and none of your suppliers, can ever see your data. Your suppliers just receive a normal WhatsApp message.
- ✓Never sold, never advertised, never used to train AI. Not to anyone, not for any reason, ever.
- ✓One customer never affects another. Your prices never influence anyone else's results, and theirs never touch yours.
- ✓We do not snoop. We never read your conversations for any purpose of our own. A person at MasaPe looks at your data only when you ask us for help that needs it.
- ✓You stay in control. Encrypted connections, export everything to Excel any time, and delete your account and all its data yourself from inside the app.
- ✓Backed by law, not just our word. We operate under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the IT Act, 2000. Misuse of your data is our legal liability.
1. What we store
- Account details — your name, company name, email, mobile number, industry, and the products and brands you deal in.
- Contacts — the vendors and customers you add or import (names, phone numbers, companies, notes, discounts, labels).
- Messages routed through the service — WhatsApp messages sent and received via your connected WhatsApp Business number, including media (photos, documents, voice notes) needed to display your chats.
- Trade records — your enquiries (RFQs), quotes, comparisons, orders, savings figures and price history.
- Catalogs — products and price lists you upload.
- Technical basics — login events and device tokens needed for push notifications.
2. Where it lives
Your data is stored on our cloud server (currently hosted on Render's cloud infrastructure) and transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). WhatsApp delivery itself runs through Meta's official WhatsApp Business API.
3. What the AI reads, and why
Our AI reads vendor replies (text, PDFs, Word, Excel, photos) and price lists you upload — solely to extract prices, delivery, GST, payment terms and stock into your comparisons and catalog. That is the product. AI processing is extraction, not profiling.
4. What we never do
- We never sell your data, to anyone.
- We never show ads and never share your data with advertisers.
- We never use your data to train AI models.
- We never let one customer's data influence another customer's results. Your prices are your business.
5. Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account exists, because its whole value to you is memory. If your subscription lapses, your data stays readable to you (see our pricing page). Backups roll over on a fixed schedule and expire automatically.
6. Deletion — in your hands
You can delete your account and all its data from inside the app (Profile → Danger zone). Deletion removes your account record, contacts, messages, quotes, orders, catalogs and media from the live system, with backup copies expiring on their normal schedule. You can also export everything to Excel first, any time.
7. Third parties we depend on
- Meta (WhatsApp Business API) — message delivery. Meta's own terms govern WhatsApp itself.
- Cloud hosting (Render) — running the servers that store your data.
- AI processing (Anthropic) — reading quotes and price lists for extraction, under terms that prohibit training on this data.
- Google Fonts — typefaces on this website.
8. Your rights
You may access, correct, export or erase your personal data at any time — in-app or by writing to us. We respond to verified requests within a reasonable period as required under Indian law, including the Information Technology Act 2000, the SPDI Rules 2011 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 as it comes into force.
9. Grievance officer
In accordance with the Information Technology Act 2000 and rules made under it, the grievance contact for MasaPe is:
Grievance Officer — Masa Technologies

Phone: +91 96326 50668

10. Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will note it here and inform you in the app before the change takes effect.
